DPX-Qg For Removal of Chlorophyll

An acetonitrile solution of spinach was prepared according to the QuEChERS procedure by shaking spinach with acetonitrile in a 1:1 ratio (10 g spinach with 10 mL acetonitrile). Then 1 mL of the acetonitrile solution was dispensed into 2 test tubes, one that is untreated and the other which is "cleaned up" by aspirating and dispensing the solution in and out of the DPX-Qg tip 3 times. Note the removal of the green pigment by the DPX-Qg tip, which contains "high quality" graphitized carbon black (GCB). This is a very new GCB material that is of the highest quality for removing plant pigment matrices, which may have deleterious effects on the GC inlet system.

The DPX-Q and DPX-Qg tips are being offered for 1 and 2.5 mL acetonitrile solutions using 1 and 5 mL DPX tips, respectively. Please review the products and visit ordering information (for registered users) using the links provided for more information.
